Saturday's are great for getting out and about in the club. This is my favorite time of year weather wise so going around to watch and document soccer is not too bad. It's been great seeing more teams than just mine week to week. Obviously I could have been out watching games while I was coaching, but for some reason I never really went to other games other than the people that I'm friends with. For the club community, I can now see why the directors were always encouraging this. If I coach for the club next year, I will at least make a point to get to other games during tournaments. Most of the club's home games are within 20 minutes of my house so it really wouldn't be tough to attend games like this more often. Even if I don't stay the whole time like I do now, swinging by just for a bit would still be good. It's good but I also kind of feel bad how much reflection I've done in the amount of time I've been embracing this director, leadership role and realizing how much more I could do regardless of my title within the club.
