This morning I attended the second half of the keeper training with Vito. One thing he was bummed about was how much focus, understandably, went towards the Portland coaches being in town and all the promotions for that, promotions for this camp fell to the wayside. He sent out emails to different teams, but he knows email communication only goes so far especially with parents that are constantly being emailed with kid activity updates. He wasn't upset by any means since he also has access to the social media pages, but he now sees how big of a difference the social media updates make after the success of the Timbers Town Hall. Even though that is a huge bummer for his camp, it did make ma feel successful in the promoting of the Town Hall event.

On December 2nd, Vito is helping local players connect with local college coaches. As I mentioned before, he has his foot in the door at a lot of different locations so he was able to get the Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Community Colleges of Spokane, and North Idaho College coaches to attend an information night at a local high school that was open to all players and parents to get information on how to play at the next level. I'm disappointed I didn't make contact with Vito sooner about this as it seems like a great opportunity for experience in organizing, but I told him to let me know if there was anything else he needed help with.
