The indoor center has been such a great addition to the club. Most of the older teams train outside as long as possible, but having the indoor center to fall back on is great. Before this one was built last winter, the teams had to find local gyms to play; usually a high school or local fitness center. The laughably worst option, but most consistent, was one of the agricultural buildings at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Injury lawsuits were everywhere, just waiting to happen, when maintenance wouldn't put away equipment from the previous tenants, would set up early without letting us know, or just the basic fact of having kids running (slipping) around on concrete. Trainings were also minimally productive with usually four teams sharing an area approximately the size of a high school gymnasium with soccer balls rolling everywhere. The best part that came out of this was the completely necessary better touches because and slightly off touch would lead to chaos. Other than that, it was a total waste of time. Anyway, the biggest struggle now is just scheduling to make sure everyone gets their fair share of time in the indoor center at least once a week that way if winter weather does creep in quickly, teams will have at least one training that week. I'm sure regardless of the added stress that paying for the indoor center and scheduling has caused, it's been totally worth it not having to work with outside parties in order to get training in during the winter.
